Dot: Behind the scenes
More about our docu-drama, Dot, and documentary, Dot's Legacy; both about Deaf poet Dot Miles.
4m 56s
Behind the scenes. Made for BSLBT by Thomas Giddens. This short film looks at our two programmes about the late Deaf poetry pioneer and activist, Dorothy "Dot" Miles - the documentary, Dot's Legacy, and the docu-drama, Dot. It explains how they are different and how they were made. There are interviews with producer/director, Cathy Heffernan, plus Jean St Clair and Jovita Bodamer-Macgregor, two of the three actresses who play Dot at different stages of her life.
You can watch Dot's Legacy and Dot here.
