27m 7s
Magazine programme (2019) for the sign language community. In this pilot episode presented by Brian Duffy and Michelle Hull, the Chief Executive of the British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust, Terry Riley, comes into the studio to explain why the trust was set up and its aim of providing programming in sign language for the Deaf community. We look at the London Deaf Drama Group’s latest production, and meet the star of a new programme called Wicked Kids - a signing genie! The makers of a new drama about deafness and mental health explain why drama is so important, and there are also interviews from Northern Ireland about a new DVD featuring memories from the Deaf community. Finally, Sabina Iqbal from Deaf Parenting UK tells us about her award for her voluntary work.
